Urgell Beatus
This is an illustrated codex with the Commentary on the Apocalypse written by Abbot Beatus from the San Martín de Liébana monastery. It is a copy of the commentary on the Apocalypse written in the late thirteenth century by Abbot Beatus in response to the adoptionist theses upheld by Elipandus, Bishop of Toledo, and by Fèlix, Bishop of Urgell. It is based on the Apocalypse by Saint John and the Book of Daniel. It is one of the most prized possessions in the collection of the Diocesan Museum of Urgell. It was stolen in 1996 and recovered in 1997.
