Corporals of Arcavell reliquary
This is an example of the high-quality Catalan goldwork from this period. The reliquary, in the form of an ostensorium, is comprised of a tall rectangular box with two doors joined by hinges and a fleur-de-lis foot. Inside it houses the corporals protected by glass. The ostensorium, whose flaps are open, displays the reliquary itself behind the glass: the fabric of the corporals is stained by blood, the outcome of a eucharistic miracle that occurred in the twelfth century.
